2ND COHORT OF THE MARCUS-OKOKO & CO ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME KICKS OFF
We are delighted to announce that the 2nd Cohort of the Marcus-Okoko & Co. Associate Development Programme (ADP) commenced Monda, 2nd August 2021 with Nineteen (19) Associates, after a thorough screening exercise.
The six-month capacity building programme is aimed at equipping young lawyers with the requisite professional and personal skills to make them very competitive in an ever dynamic legal landscape.
Our Principal Partner, Diane Okoko, FCIArb, whilst welcoming the participants, encouraged them to think of themselves not only as lawyers but also as professionals in a world where dividing lines between professions are fast disappearing. Also in attendance at the Opening Session were Mr. O.M Atoyebi, SAN and two of the ADP’s Faculty Members and Mentors for the 1st cohort, Messrs Wale Ajiboye and Buffy Okeke-Ojiudu.
The ADP covers modules on varied subjects inclusive of strategy, leadership, emotional intelligence, writing & presentation skills, etiquette and grooming, branding, marketing, and storytelling in addition to practicalities of legal practice such as case strategy and presentation, the art of advocacy and artificial intelligence in law, etc.
The most outstanding candidates stand a chance of being retained with the Firm as Full Associates at the end of the Program.
