1st Cohort of Marcus-Okoko & Co. Completes Associate Development Programme (ADP)
The maiden edition of the Firm’s Associate Development Programme (ADP) which commenced on 12th October 2020 with three (3) Associates came to a close on 12th March 2021. The six-month intensive development programme was aimed at equipping young lawyers with the requisite professional and personal skills which would be needed by them in an ever-changing professional landscape. The very intensive Programme covered training on varied subjects inclusive of strategy, leadership, emotional intelligence, writing & presentation skills, etiquette and grooming, branding, marketing, and storytelling in addition to practical aspects of legal practice.
In attendance at the closing ceremony which was held on Friday 12th March 2020, the last day of the Programme, were the members of faculty, mentors, and Mr. Dele K. Oye, Esq, the Guest Speaker at the wrap-up session. He encouraged not only the successful Associates but all who had participated in the programme to put into practice all they had learnt during the six months as they were the privileged few to have been given such a foundation upon which to build their careers, at no cost to them at all.
The successful Associates were the duo of Mr. Muhammad Abdulazeez and Ms. Osamamwen Obasoyo, who have been retained with the Firm as full associates. In relating their experiences during the Programme, they described it as a worthwhile and most insightful experience and expressed their gratitude to the Firm, the Programme facilitators and Mentors for the opportunity the Programme afforded them.
The Firm looks forward to welcoming its 2nd cohort later in the year.
